It is not a wood or brush chopper but has the feel, heft, balance, and speed of......... Of the N.K.H. Kukris I have examined, the Cheetlange is the one that I would want to have in my hand in a defensive situation. It has the length 18-1/2 inches total to give one excellent standoff distance. In my opinion, it is not a wood or brush chopper but has the feel, heft, balance, and speed of a nearly perfect combat blade. Mine came with an immaculate horn handle with an extra large bell at the butt with 6 inches from the start of the bolster to the end of the tang. For the smaller individual the Chainpure is nearly identical to the Cheetlange but is only 15-1/5 inches overall length and is much lighter. One of the attractions of the Cheetlange is that of many years I used cane knives to harvest cane and have a kinetic muscular preconditioning to these size knives. |

6-19-07 Today I received the Ganjawal Special and I must say..the picture does no justice to the knife. Wonderful craftsmanship, superb quality. Extremely pleasing to the eye. Attention to detail was not left out. From the colors on the sheath to the carving on the blade, to the dramatic design of the handle. This is a well balanced knife. The fulcrum is roughly 2 3/4 inches in. With a neck 7/16 inches wide that tapers to 1/16 of an inch at the tip. Because of the calibration, the total weight adds to the power of this Khukuri. Very impressed. To add, the transaction with the Napalese Khukuri House has been excellent. This being my first time with them. I place my order on the evening of 6-15-07. Immediately, I was sent an e-mail confirming the order and witching 24 hours, I received am e-mail from the administration with details on the status of the order. Included a tracking number for UPS. I was able to actually travel with the package as UPS posted the where about of the package and status of transit. Four days after placing the order, I received the Khukuri. Amazing team work between countries and staff. I give this transaction an A+. As we say in America, Napalese Khukuri House "walks the talk". Thank you for your beautiful knives. I have never been dissapointed in the past and not yet. I have purchased other khukuris from nepal but favour these knives for the following reasons. The Jungle Or PRI type khukuri, Panawal Angkhola and Mini Jungle knife kukris rough finish... These knives are exceptional for the following reasons. Firstly they are tough, the steel used to forge them is quality steel. It is hard and strong. Other khukuris have not fared as well hitting the hard stuff. Secondly, these knives are well crafted; they look symetrical and are well balanced. The sheaths and well made and suit each knife well as an individual piece. Their craftmanship is evident on a first inspection. A quality product with a quality team of honest and dedicated sales people behind them. Thankyou for providing me with knives that will last me a lifetime and beyond. Cannot recommend your company enough. Cheers!! |
