Service No.1- modify kukri as the Orginal service No.1 kukri reproduction by Nepalese
Khukuri House. The kukri shape and size is every thing same but the kukri blade come
with semi polish. The handle is made of Indian Rose Wood, where the metal of the blade
in the handle area is flat and not narrow and pointed as in other knives (full tang). The
blade is therefore visible all around the handle. The handle is joined strongly to the blade
with two metal rivets that can also be seen at the sides. The handle is very effective as
well as reliable to finish Jungle mission. Kukri have two pockets on the back of the
scabbard which hold a blunt steel called "chakmak" for sharpening the blade or for
striking spark from flint and a little knife known as "karda" used for skinning small
animals such as rabbits. The notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most
khukuris serves as conduit for the blood on the blade to drip out, thus preventing it from
soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing and enemy blade. The
blade is made of hi-graded Carbon steel, which has about 10½ long blades while the
Buffalo horn handle is 5" long. The sheath is made of buffalo hide. It weighs about 750
grams. The total shipping weight including display wooden stand with packing is 1.5 kg.
