This type of Khukuri is the simplest one, which is used in warfare or in civil life by Royal Nepal army or Armed Police forces in Nepal. It is made in Dharan, a small hilly town in Eastern Nepal, using highly graded carbon steel for the blade and the Buffalo leather for the sheath. Especially it use issued for the traditionally Gurkha soldiers who still serves in Royal Nepal army. The blade is 9" long and the measures 13.5" with the handle made of buffalo horn.
