11"Blade Iraqi Freedom Camouflage Kukri:
Here is new implementation of my new Iraqi kukri, Iraqi Operation Freedom kukri which is current issuing to Gurkhas who are base in Iraq for peace keeping. Hence the name derived after the Iraq. This kukri is not official issued but some time interested soldiers can keep with their uniform and use as well. The kukri shape very much is quite straight than to other model of army series kukri. The kukri’s length is, 11inches long blade where the 5.5inches long handle strongly joined with three metal rivets. Kukri comes with semi polish and two fuller (dui chira) with gripper handle and protective guard near bolster. The blade is made of highly graded carbon steel with pouring water balance temper on the edge so it’s very strong. The handle is made of very strong wood "SADAN WOOD" .The stronger and more durable handle is made of white Sadan wood. It is full flat tang running through it making it super strong which is about 5.5inches long. The scabbard is Camouflage to suit soldier combat dress. Set of Karda and Chakmak included and high quality small knives (Utility Knife + Sharpener) for better made and tampered than the regular ones. Sides carrying the knife in war time, this blade can be used to chop wood or bone cleaning bushes. This kukri can be used to cut wood, firewood, bone, meat, clearing bushes etc.
* Scabbard: Cotton Covered Camouflage. The scabbard has military frogs (one loop) frogs which are leather loops used to attach to the belt.
* Karda & Chakmak: There is only Karda available for this kukri as it would be work two in one system. Karda is small knife used of skinning animal hairs and no needed extra Chakmak for this kukri as Karda would be worked as chakmak for sharpening the Kukri blade in its blunt.
Material Used: Highly Graded Carbon Steel (car & jeep, truck suspense leaf spring, 5160) for blade. Water Buffalo lather for Scabbard (outside), Sadan wood for the handle, Pinewood for Scabbard (inside), White Metal and “Laha” (Traditional Nepalese glue which works for joining).
Since, all my stuff are hand-made, variances in size, weight wood color etc may well occur.
